Mr Owen Carr

Owen Carr is a Sports Therapist at Optimal Spine & Sport Dimensions Blackfriars with 4 years of experience. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Therapy at Bournemouth University in 2021 followed by his Master’s degree in Sports Rehabilitation & Exercise at AECC University College in 2022.

Owen is passionate about helping athletes and individuals alike to develop their physical abilities to their fullest potential. He has gained his experience from working in and around a football environment across 4 years, as well as working in a private clinical setting.

Throughout Owen’s life, he has participated in football, running and boxing. Since graduating as a Sports Therapist, his knowledge has allowed him to have a better understanding of injury prevention, plus the importance of working closely with patients and dealing with their expectations.

With this experience, Owen has developed an understanding of the importance of providing customised rehabilitation programs and pain prevention techniques to fit his patients lifestyles and to help maintain physical function.

Whether an individual is struggling with a sporting injury, joint, muscle, neck or back pain, Owen enjoys using hands-on techniques alongside guiding his patients through stretches and exercises to help reach and go beyond their goals.
