Dr Nitu Sengupta

Dr Nitu Sengupta is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Community Paediatrician who provides expert medical care for infants, children, and adolescents. She brings a wealth of clinical expertise to her practice, delivering compassionate, family-centred care that addresses both acute medical needs and ongoing health conditions. Known for her reassuring approach and clear communication, Dr Sengupta collaborates closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support the overall health and well-being of young people.

Her clinical interests focus on community paediatrics, child neurodevelopment, and adolescent health. Dr Sengupta has extensive experience in assessing developmental delays, managing complex behavioural and social communication disorders, and delivering holistic healthcare for vulnerable youth. Alongside her direct clinical work, she has held prominent clinical leadership roles, including serving as a Clinical Director, where she has been instrumental in improving healthcare delivery and establishing integrated care pathways between primary care and specialist child health services.

In addition to her clinical and leadership commitments, Dr Sengupta has a strong foundation in academic research and medical education. She completed specialist research training at Queen Mary University of London and was awarded a fellowship by the European Society of Paediatric Infectious Diseases, focusing on paediatric viral diseases, epidemiology, and vaccine immunogenicity. Dr Sengupta remains actively involved in mentoring medical trainees and evaluating innovative health initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes and reducing health inequities for young people.
