Dr. Nicus Kotze

Dr Kotze earned his medical degree (MBChB) in South Africa in 1999 and obtained Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2007. He has been practising as an NHS Consultant Psychiatrist since 2010.

With experience across community mental health teams and inpatient settings in Dorset and Wiltshire, Dr Kotze has worked extensively with individuals living with anxiety disorders, depression, and the effects of trauma. His approach is grounded in compassionate, evidence-based care, shaped by many years of clinical practice.

Alongside his psychiatric training, he completed a postgraduate diploma in psychosexual and relationship therapy at the University of Hull. He has also worked with Relate, supporting couples experiencing sexual or relationship difficulties.

Dr Kotze has a strong interest in medical education and holds a certificate in teaching and learning from the University of Bristol.
