Dr. Neky Sargant

Dr Neky Sargant is a Consultant General Paediatrician with specialist expertise in Adolescent Health at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. She graduated from the University of Southampton and completed advanced postgraduate training in Adolescent Health across several leading UK centres before taking up her consultant post in Bristol in 2018.

Dr Sargant is the Lead Clinician for Eating Disorders across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG), overseeing the care of young people with complex physical and mental health needs. She also works as a Forensic Medical Examiner at The Bridge Sexual Assault Referral Centre, performing forensic medical assessments for children and young people following sexual assault. In addition, she serves as Co-Medical Lead for Paediatric Mental Health for BNSSG.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Sargant is deeply committed to medical education. She co-authored the Adolescent Health chapters in two internationally recognised paediatric textbooks — The Science of Paediatrics: MRCPCH Mastercourse and the Illustrated Textbook of Paediatrics. She is the Adolescent Health Lead for the College Specialty Advisory Committee at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and designed the Adolescent Health curriculum for Bristol Medical School.

Dr Sargant brings a compassionate, young-person-centred approach to her practice. She is dedicated to supporting children and adolescents through some of the most challenging stages of their lives, ensuring their physical, emotional and psychological needs are always heard and prioritised.
