Dr Neda Alband

Dr Neda Alband is a consultant dermatologist with broad expertise in treating adults and children across all areas of dermatology in her private practice. Her specialist interests include skin cancer, complex hair and nail disorders, and general dermatology.

Dr Alband’s NHS experience includes leading a tertiary hair clinic in London, where she manages patients with complex hair-loss and scalp conditions. She is also the Dermatology Clinical Lead for a leading independent provider of NHS services, having established and developed its dermatology service.

Dr Alband graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine in 2010 and completed her postgraduate medical training in London. She subsequently undertook her specialist dermatology training at Cambridge University Hospitals.

She has a strong academic and research background. Dr Alband worked as a dermatology clinical research fellow in epidermolysis bullosa at the internationally renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital. She is also a co-author of the British Association of Dermatologists’ national guideline on the management of fungal nail infection.

Dr Alband has served as the UK representative on the Residents’ Board of the European Journal of Dermatology. She has published in leading peer-reviewed journals, presented her work at national and international meetings, and received the British Association of Dermatologists’ Bristol Cup for her research on cutaneous graft-versus-host disease.

A committed educator, Dr Alband holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Cambridge and regularly teaches and supervises dermatology trainees, nurses and medical students.

Known for her evidence-based and compassionate approach, Dr Alband was nominated for the “You Made a Difference” award at Cambridge University Hospitals. Patients have particularly commended her attentive care, clear communication and empathetic manner.
