Dr. Navin Mathias

Dr Navin Mathias is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist who focuses on delivering patient-centred care through modern, minimally invasive procedures. He is dedicated to offering effective diagnostic and therapeutic options that minimise patient discomfort and recovery time. By prioritising clear communication and attentive care, Dr Mathias ensures that patients feel reassured and fully informed throughout their clinical journey.

In his clinical practice, Dr Mathias specialises in all aspects of Interventional Radiology, with a dedicated focus on vascular interventions and venous disease. His areas of expertise include the management of varicose veins, thread veins, and venous ulcers. Utilising advanced imaging technology, he carries out non-surgical procedures such as duplex ultrasound assessments, endovenous laser ablation, ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, and microsclerotherapy to restore healthy circulation.

Dr Mathias completed his undergraduate medical studies, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1995, followed by a Master of Surgery degree in General Surgery in 1998. He attained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Edinburgh in 1999. After completing specialist training in Diagnostic Radiology, he gained Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2006 and subsequently completed fellowship training in Interventional Radiology in Glasgow. Dr Mathias is a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists and an active member of the British Society of Interventional Radiology, the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe, and the Society of Interventional Radiologists.
