Ms Seema Seetharam

Ms Seema Seetharam is a Consultant Oncoplastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon with over a decade of specialist clinical experience. She completed her medical degree at Mangalore University, India in 1995, subsequently moving to the UK to complete her basic surgical training. She later completed her specialist training in Breast and Oncoplastic Surgery in centres across the South East of England, including Guy's Hospital and Princess Royal University Hospital. In 2010 she was awarded a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery Qualification, certifying her as a qualified Breast Surgeon. Later that year she assumed the role of Consultant Oncoplastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon.

Ms Seetharam currently sees private patients across London at the following locations:

• Chelsfield Park Hospital
• LycaHealth Canary Wharf and Orpington

She offers a number of services, including a one-stop clinic consultation that features a triple assessment - clinical examination, imaging and biopsy (as needed).

In her current clinical practice, Ms Seetharam works closely with multidisciplinary team, including radiologists, oncologists, pathologists and specialist breast clinical nurses. She has expertise in performing reconstructive breast procedures following mastectomy and is skilled in modern techniques, including implant-based reconstruction, lipofilling and nipple areolar reconstruction. She has special interests in oncoplastic breast surgery to conserve breast tissue to produce a more satisfying result on both an oncology and aesthetic level. She also provides cosmetic breast surgery services such as breast augmentation, reduction, mastopexy and symmetrisation.

Ms Seetharam is also a passionate researcher who's publications have been presented at both national and international meetings. She has particular interests in surgical training and was a Surgical Tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons of England until 2014.

She also is a strong advocate for public education and awareness. She has carried out numerous breast disease workshops and has talked to GPs, patients and the public to spread awareness.
