About Ms Padma Pathi

Ms Padma Bharathi Pathi is a Consultant Gynaecologist with over 30 years of specialist experience, including more than 25 years practising in the United Kingdom. She currently works within County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust and provides private gynaecological care.

She completed her postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India, where she was awarded a Gold Medal. She subsequently completed specialist training in the UK and was awarded a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) and has previously served on the RCOG Council, contributing to national training and curriculum development.

Her clinical practice includes the assessment and management of a wide range of gynaecological conditions. Her areas of interest include recurrent pregnancy loss, perimenopause and menopause care, perineal trauma, vulval conditions, abnormal or heavy menstrual bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, and endometriosis.

Ms Pathi provides both routine and specialist gynaecological care, including diagnostic assessment, investigation, and treatment planning. Her work includes managing both acute and chronic conditions, with involvement in multidisciplinary care where required.

She is experienced in delivering outpatient and hospital-based care, supporting patients through diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up across a broad spectrum of women’s health conditions.
