Miss Tipples qualified in Medicine from the University of London in 1992 and undertook postgraduate training within the more specialised field of Gynaecology. She then became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1996, and then a member of the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology in 2005. A year later, she completed a Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
