Mrs Gillian Sheffer

Gillian Sheffer is a Registered Osteopath at Brixton Therapy Centre and the most senior osteopathic associate at the clinic. She graduated from the College of Osteopaths in 2005, where she was awarded the Hugh Hellon-Harris prize for excellence. Gillian has been a valued member of the centre ever since, bringing nearly two decades of hands-on experience to her role.

Known for her thoughtful and attentive manner, Gillian ensures her patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment journey. She is a firm believer in preventative care and offers regular maintenance treatments to help her patients stay mobile and pain-free throughout the year. Her approach combines soft tissue mobilisation, articulation, and manipulation, and where appropriate, she also incorporates cranial osteopathic techniques and the use of the "Pulse" machine to enhance outcomes.

Gillian has a special interest in treating migraines and is a passionate advocate of orthotic therapy. She uses the Everflex template method for prescribing corrective insoles-an efficient, mess-free alternative to traditional plaster moulds. Outside of her clinical work, Gillian enjoys cycling, yoga, gardening, and spending time with her two children and two cats.
