Mr Hannan is an expert ENT physician and surgeon. He qualified from King’s College London, where he received the Negus-Cawthorne Prize in Otorhinolaryngology and the national undergraduate prize of the British Association of Otorhinolaryngologists. He then went on to officially pursue postgraduate training in Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. In 2009, after completing his higher surgical training, Mr Hannan was appointed to the consultant staff at the prestigious Royal National Throat, Nose & Ear Hospital, considered as an international centre of excellence for its treatment of all ENT conditions. He now provides a full elective and emergency ENT service for both adults and children, and specialises in fields of Rhinology and Facial Plastic Surgery. With his NHS base firmly established in North Central and North West London, Mr Hannan seeks to replicate his first class ENT service for patients in the private sector.      Â
By many of his patients and colleagues, Mr Hannan is considered to be a modern and progressive consultant. He regularly receives excellent feedback on his exceptional listening skills and refined technical ability, and his services come highly recommended. This is no doubt due to the fact that Mr Hannan makes it a priority to keep up to date with latest treatments and techniques, whilst also refining the more artistic but integral aspects of medicine such as communication and trust. Beyond such innate professional desire to always be better in providing safe, patient-centred, high quality care, Mr Hannan enjoys dedicated roles in teaching and training, and collaborates in cutting-edge clinical research.

Ear Nose & Throat Surgery

Alam is one of a kind. He is not only an excellent ENT specialist, but also a great human being. I was privileged to have trained with him and subsequently mentored by him. He is a skilled surgeon, providing high quality care and is much loved by his patients and colleagues. I refer patients to him and have no hesitation in recommending him.

During my training years, Alam was always someone I looked up to for his inspirational qualities, honesty, patience with junior trainees and his way of always putting patients first. I am now fortunate to count Alam as my consultant colleague at UCLH for which I am hugely grateful. Patients can see him knowing that they will be managed in the most up to date and appropriate way by someone who is caring and trustworthy. A fantastic colleague.

One of the nicest surgeons you'll meet. A great rhinologist as well.

Alam is a first class surgeon who I have worked alongside at UCLH for many years. He is kind and compassionate and is an excellent opinion. It is without hesitation that I would recommend him as an ENT surgeon to anyone and he will always look after them well.
