Mr Ninaad Awsare

Mr Ninaad Awsare Is a Consultant Urologist working in Chester and Wirral at the Grosvenor Nuffield Hospital, Chester and the Spire Murrayfied Hospital, Wirral.

After completing his undergraduate and postgraduate surgical training in Mumbai, Mr Awsare obtained an MD for his translational research into Bladder Cancer at the Metastasis and Angiogenesis Research Group, Cardiff University. He then underwent Higher Specialist Training in the South Wales Urology Training programme. During this time, he developed a special interest in the surgical and medical management of kidney stones, including their prevention whilst working in a metabolic stone clinic. He also developed experience in the laparoscopic management of kidney cancer.

Mr Awsare has also received training in the performance minimally invasive treatments for enlarged prostates- the Urolift® procedure and Rezum® (water vapor ablation).

He also has extensive experience in treating benign and cancerous conditions of the bladder, prostate and testis.

Mr Awsare is an Educational Supervisor for Higher Specialty (Urology) and Foundation Trainee Doctors. He is on the Specialty Training and Education Committee for Urology at Health Education England- North West and is regularly involved in the appraisal and assessment of Higher Specialist Trainees.

Mr Awsare serves as an Elected Member of the Executive Committee of the BAUS ( British Association of Urological Surgeons) Section of Endourology. This committee provides Education and carries out National Audits in Endourology, that covers the treatment of stones and enlarged prostates). This provides a steer for policy making to NICE and other national organisations.

He has also recently served as the Chair of the Cheshire and Wirral Benign Urology Area Network.

He has recently been appointed as an examiner for the Surgical Membership Examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS) and the Intercollegiate Fellowship Examination of the Royal College of Surgeons  in Urology (FRCS), an examination required to be cleared before trainees can become Consultants in Urology.
