I had been looking to have eye laser surgery for a few years. Even went to a couple of well known places for an initial chat but was not convinced. Then I found Mark and he was a breath of fresh air. From the start he put me at ease and gave me the reassurance I needed. After all without having the surgery it can be very daunting especially if you read the internet too much to actually pluck up the courage to do it. All I can say is I wish I had found mark earlier and done it much sooner. Korin his secretary was also brilliant and helped me through with all my emails slightly fretting and telling me everything I needed to know. My scenario was a bit more complicated as I had a condition that meant I was more susceptible to infection. Mark and I spoke about this and again reassured me with the choice of treatment that most suited me that it would all be fine and it was …. All I can say is if you want to have laser eye surgery then mark and his team are the only choice.

I had LASIK to hopefully remove the need for reading glasses which I was becoming more and more reliant on. I visited 2 specialists, one being Mr Weevil and my gut instinct made me choose him. The procedure was very quick and surprisingly totally painless, just a bit weird I suppose being your eyes! I had watery eyes for the remainder of the day a bit like if you’ve been in a pool for too long with chlorine but by the next morning this had largely subsided and then the tricky part was remembering not to run them as they just felt fine! I could read without glasses pretty much immediately but my sight felt strange as my brain adjusted, and 4 weeks on I’m still improving now, which is a nice bonus. Honestly I could not recommend both the procedure and Mark highly enough i am absolutely over the moon with the result.

I had undergone ICL surgery on my left eye in February 2026, carried out by Mark Wevill. Although very nervous as I rely totally on my left eye for vision, I had reached out to Mark for a consultation to discuss my options. After an extremely thorough consultation and tests. I decided to press forward with the procedure & it has been truly life changing and the best decision I could’ve made for my future. I have been able to go from -9.5 vision to near perfect. The entire process has been faultless and the communication has been very consistent. I was immediately put at ease and encouraged to ask as many questions as I felt necessary, both pre & post procedure. I would absolutely recommend Mark to anyone considering the procedure, especially to those with a higher prescription who have always believed there are no other options bar glasses and contacts. had a very high prescription, and my glasses were heavy with extremely thick lenses. I was also diagnosed with cataracts, which had begun to significantly affect my vision and my quality of life. From my very first consultation with Mr Wevill, I immediately felt comfortable and reassured. He is incredibly knowledgeable and highly skilled, but what stood out just as much was his kindness, compassion and the time he took to explain everything clearly. I had surgery on my right eye through the NHS and chose to have my left eye treated privately. I can honestly say there was absolutely no difference in the standard of care I received. Mr Wevill and his team treated me with the same professionalism, respect and genuine care throughout both procedures. Every member of the team explained the process in detail, made sure I felt relaxed and comfortable, and even provided an expert hand to hold during the surgery—which was greatly appreciated! The procedure itself took around 20 minutes. Afterwards, I was offered a warm drink and a biscuit, a thoughtful touch that made the whole experience feel even more caring. I also received a follow-up phone call later the same day and another a few days afterwards to check on my recovery. The aftercare instructions were clear, straightforward and easy to follow. Every member of staff at The Westbourne Centre was friendly, kind and supportive. I was nervous initially about having the procedure on both eyes at the same time but from beginning to end Mark and his team were very caring and professional. The surgery itself was not as scary as I had expected. Mark was brilliant and I felt safe and well cared for throughout. My recovery has been without any issue so far and to top it all I haven't needed to wear my glasses since the procedure on 17/07/2026!! Very happy with everything and I would recommend Mark 100%!

I had LASIK with Mr Wevill a week ago and the experience was great from start to finish. During my consultation my options were explained fully and I was able to make a decision on which procedure to go for. The procedure itself was over very quickly and after an afternoon nap, I woke up with near perfect eyesight! It has only improved this last week and the discomfort has pretty much gone. I would recommend both LASIK and Mr Wevill to anyone!

I had poor eyesight for many years, and this treatment has been transformative for me. Despite my worries, Mark was helpful and reassuring throughout the process, and for the amount of time the procedure and recovery takes, it has definitely been worth it.

Mr Wevill was fantastic from the first meeting. He is very professional and spoke about my options in great detail. We decided to proceed with LASIK surgery as it best fitted my needs and preferences. His secretary, Korin, was very helpful and sorted out a date for the surgery very quickly. The surgery itself was a breeze. Initial recovery takes a few hours with a bit of discomfort but nothing more. My eyes are now better than ever!

Mark was excellent at every stage of the process. I especially appreciated his approach in the early stages of allowing me to take my time and not push me into a particular decision (unlike another Lasik provider I visited). On the day of the surgery he was faultless and really put my mind at ease throughout the procedure. Thanks to Mark I now have perfect vision for the first time in 20 years! Mark is the best - him and his team have made me feel so comfortable and supported from the first minute until discharged. I cannot thank everyone enough for their time and efforts throughout.
