Mr William Finch

Mr William Finch is a consultant urological surgeon based at Spire Norwich Hospital.

He specialises in the following areas:

• Bladder investigations including bladder cancer
• Kidney investigations and surgery
• Prostate investigation and surgery
• Urinary stone disease
• Urinary disorders

His main interests are urinary stone disease (diagnosis and treatment), prostate disorders and laparoscopic kidney surgery. He has a keen interest in diagnostic general urology and general urological surgery including prostate cancer diagnosis and endoscopic surgery.

He is able to offer his patients minimally invasive kidney stone treatment such as laser, lithotripsy and percutaneous stone surgery. He is interested in the cause of kidney stones and how to reduce the risk of this problem. He performs laser prostate procedures (HOLEP) as well as Urolift and TURP.

Mr Finch gained his medical qualification in 2002 and undertook basic surgical training at Norfolk and Norwich University. He has also completed a stone surgery fellowship in Nepal. He is committed to medical training and is an honorary lecturer at UEA. He is also involved in research and actively researches stone disease.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing cricket, sailing, rural sports, and conservation.
