I was waiting in trepidation regarding my initial consultation with Mr Gould at The Clementine Churchill Hospital. I need not have worried. His empathetic manner, active listening and considered advice were very reassuring and I departed feeling confident that an appropriate treatment plan would be put in place.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Gould when I visited the hospital for a hemorrhoid problem I'd been putting off dealing with for years. The discomfort of the issue itself had made me reluctant to see a specialist, so by the time I finally went, I was extremely nervous and anxious. Dr. Gould made me feel comfortable and at ease almost immediately. He was welcoming, funny, and genuine, and that put me at ease right from the start. I'm so glad he was the one who performed my operation — I trusted him completely.

Mr Gould was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. From my first consultation with him through to my final six-week check-up, the entire experience was excellent. He has a fantastic bedside manner and immediately made me feel comfortable and confident I was in good hands. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. I had my surgery at the Clementine Churchill Hospital and, apart from my room being rather cold, I couldn’t fault the experience. It’s a lovely hospital and every member of staff I dealt with was fantastic. The surgery itself went incredibly smoothly, and my recovery was far easier than I had expected. I was driving again four days later and felt fully recovered within a week. I was also amazed by how neat the surgery was. I was left with only four tiny scars, which have healed exceptionally well and are already barely noticeable. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for better care. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Mr Gould, or the Clementine Churchill Hospital, to anyone needing gallbladder surgery. Thank you to Mr Gould and the whole team for making what could have been a daunting experience such a positive one.

I recently had my gallbladder removed by Mr Stuart Gould at Clementine Churchill hospital. His explanations were in detail and assuring. I recovered well soon after the surgery without any issues. Highly recommend him.
