Mr Stelios Vakis is professional and excellent, helping patients feel at ease. He explains all procedures and what to expect, from initial discussions to post-operative recovery. Patients report good results with hernia and haemorrhoid treatments.
From my initial consultation Mr Vakis dealt with me in a reassuringnprofressional manner .he made me fully aware of the serioudness of mynundergoing the procedure and held reservations due to my having only 6 weeks previous aqua ablation on my prostrate . He warned of his retisence and advised mee to wait until a few nore weeks when.he believed it could be safer to.proceed. For my part i had been awaiting my abblation procedure sibce december 2025 and did not want to wait for this gall bladder operation for longer taking me into september followed by recovery . Mr Vakis following numerousbphone calls and clearance sgreed to carry oit the procedure at my 'begging' Within 2 weeks he had me in for the procedure and was unbelievsble in support supplied info again making me fully aware of the dangers in a thoroughly professional but empathetic nature . The operation was in Mr Vakis words what he expected with complications associated leading to his leaving a drip inserted to avoid possible complications. Mr vakis attended me religiously during my stay over night and the next day once more checking me and reassuring me although it was complicated i would be going home later that day . Once again before leaving Mr Vakis called to see me warning of things that would happen following my recovery and once again his bedside manner filled with confidence. Following approx 6 weeks recovery i attended Nuffield hospital to meet Mr Vakis for my.post op meeting as usual he greeted me with a confidence of a true professional and once more in his own fashion of immediately making myself fee...

Really professional and personal, told me exactly what to expect, in regards to pain and recovery. And im really happy with the result
Excellent service from start to finish Mr Vakis was very informative very friendly and very professional, and that also goes for the nursing staff who were equally excellent
Mr Vakis was kind, professional, and thorough. He did his job exceptionally well and made the whole experience comfortable and reassuring.
Dr Vakis was great. When I first went to visit him during my consultation he explained the procedure clearly and explained the post operative recovery very honestly too. He gave me a lot of information and then advised me to think about it and once I’ve made a decision come back which is exactly what I did. It allowed time for me to gather my thoughts and be 100% certain I wanted to go ahead. On the day of the operation he again explained everything to me and spoke to me about recovery. I am now 8 weeks post operation and can say my recovery has gone well and I’ve had my post op and very happy with my experience. A haemerroidectomy isn’t the nicest of surgeries but I definitely felt more comfortable speaking with a doctor that was honest and explained both the positives and negatives of surgery.
Mr Vakis was very open and honest and gave me all the necessary facts and associated risks with the procedure that I need
Very professional and informative. Explained the whole process and was very reassuring.
