I am just over 3 weeks post operation, recovering well, feeling good and I am extremely pleased with everything Mr Bailey has done.

Cannot recommend enough! Very welcoming and professional all the way through the process, filled me with confidence, everything went exactly as he said it would. I had quite a large left side inguinal Hernia which Dr Bailey explained would need a Lichtenstein operation as opposed to a Laparoscopy which to be honest was a little worried about, but Dr Bailey and the staff at Kim’s and the anaesthetist put my mind at rest. Dr Bailey is a likeable chap with excellent bedside manner and very professional. I felt confident from the off with him carrying out the procedure. He did a fantastic job leaving me with a very neat scar that will hardly notice and the hernia the size of a tennis ball has gone as he stitched up the muscle and inserted a gauze for further protection in the future. I would highly recommend Dr Bailey without hesitation.

In London in 2022, I had an unsuccessful & traumatically painful lipoma excision on my scapula under local anaesthetic. The lipoma wasn't fully removed and subsequently re-grew a couple of years later: Fast-forward to summer 2026, and I had to consider re-excision. I saw Simon Bailey's kind, smiling face on an online register of local surgeons and after reading his reviews and testimonials, I decided he was the one I'd like to put me out of my misery. And put me out of my misery he did! From my initial consultation right through to follow up, he has been absolutely amazing. It really helps when a consultant has a sense of humour and 'can-do' attitude. He explained everything perfectly, we agreed on a general anaesthetic this time as the lipoma had rather made itself at home. I was in and out of Nuffield Health in an afternoon and felt NO pain during or after. My clothes now lay flat on my shoulder, with no discomfort and I'm left with the neatest of scars. My previous experience has been replaced with a positive one and I could not be happier, all thanks to Simon, his expertise and his smiling face.

The whole process was easy and quick, mr Bailey made a stressful situation better his manner was brilliant and although weird to say he made attending the hospital fun as you could crack a joke with him, but also be serious about the ongoing situation.

Well, where do I start? Mr Bailey is one of the most professional, kind, experienced, and humane surgeons I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Mr Bailey also has a good sense of humour, and that is a Godsend. Mr Bailey is very thorough and left no stone unturned. He acted with empathy and kindness throughout.
