An excellent consultation . Very reassuring to my daughter .
I booked a consultation for my daughter, Olivia Price, with Mr Robert Sutcliffe on Monday 24th November 2025 at 2.00pm. With Olivia’s full consent, I handled all communication on her behalf due to her work commitments. Before the appointment, Mr Sutcliffe’s secretary contacted me to ask whether the consultation could be moved to the following week. I explained that we were due to travel abroad for three weeks to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday. She advised she would discuss this with Mr Sutcliffe. She later called back to confirm that, in light of our circumstances, Mr Sutcliffe was happy to keep the original appointment — which he honoured. I accompanied Olivia to her consultation. Mr Sutcliffe was exceptionally thorough. He examined her carefully, explained his diagnosis with clarity and compassion, and put both of us completely at ease as he outlined the next steps. He requested a further liver function blood test, which Olivia had done at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton. I asked Nuffield Health to send the results to both Mr Sutcliffe and Olivia’s GP, which was done. Mr Sutcliffe’s secretary informed me as soon as the results were received and assured me they would be reviewed promptly. True to her word, Mr Sutcliffe reviewed the results quickly. His secretary then advised that he had no concerns and that our planned follow-up in the New Year could go ahead as arranged. I would also like to note that, as we were leaving Harborne Hospital, we happened to see Mr Sutcliffe leaving at the same time. It was clear he had come in specifically to see Olivia that day, kn...

My husband had a tumor on his pancreas and Dr Sutcliffe explained the procedure in detail beforehand. After the operation Dr Sutcliffe completed daily checks to ensure everything was ok with him.
Mr Sutcliffe was entirely clear and knowledgeable. He has earned my trust.
I was shown in very promptly, and Mr Sutcliffe was very kind and reassuring. He clearly explained what the probable cause of my issue was, and what test needed to be done next to confirm it. He performed laparoscopic surgery on me last year, my first ever surgery, and it went extremely well, I would 100% recommend him.
Mr Sutcliffe was very professional and explained everything in a kind and friendly manner. My surgery experience was excellent i had a good recovery, I am very happy I choose Mr Sutcliffe for my care.
My experience with Mr Sutcliffe was extremely positive. He has the best bedside manner of any surgeon I have been under the care of. He takes the time to explain things and gives you the opportunity to ask as many questions as needed. He discusses your options with you and helps to come to the best solution together.
A very caring, skilful liver surgeon.
