Mr Robert Almeyda

Mr Robert Almeyda is an experienced consultant adult and paediatric ENT specialist, with over 25 years of experience. His areas of expertise include septorhinoplasty, paediatric ENT, allergic rhinitis, smell disorders, facial plastic surgery and facial skin cancer.

Mr Almeyda currently practises privately at The ENT Consultancy at The Forbury Clinic in Reading. In addition to his private work, since 2012, he has held the appointment of consultant ENT surgeon at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust before joining the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2017.

Mr Almeyda has an extensive educational portfolio. He holds a BSc from University College London which he achieved in 1994, before going on to receive his medical degree from St Bartholomew’s Medical School in 1997. He has also received an MSc in Surgical Sciences and a Diploma from Imperial College London, and was awarded his FRCS ORL HNS from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2008.

He received specialised ENT training in the Oxford Deanery and completed Rhinology fellowships at two prestigious institutions: The Royal National Throat, Nose, and Ear Hospital in London and The Academic Medical Centre in Amsterdam. This fellowship training gave him expertise in advanced endoscopic sinus surgery techniques, revision rhinoplasty and the reconstruction of the nose and ear after skin cancer removal.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr Almeyda is also active in clinical research, having published numerous articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is a member of the British Rhinological Society, the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and the Royal Society of Medicine.
