Mr Richard Peevor

Mr Richard Peevor is a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist who practises at Spire Yale Hospital, the Chesney Court Outpatient and Diagnostic Centre, and Spire Abergele Clinic. He also holds an NHS consultant post at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Mr Peevor qualified in London in 2000 and subsequently pursued a career in gynaecology, receiving specialist training that led to subspecialisation in gynaecological oncology in 2007. During this time, he undertook research into Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and its association with cervical cancer, further refining his expertise in the management and treatment of gynaecological cancers.

After training in Cardiff, Mr Peevor moved to North Wales to contribute to the development of cancer services in the region. He performs major gynaecological surgery and, together with colleagues in Cardiff, has established one of the largest groups of laparoscopic hysterectomy cases in Wales. His clinical practice also covers subfertility, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, prolapse, menopause, post-menopausal issues, and a wide range of general gynaecological conditions. He routinely performs procedures including colposcopy, hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, endometrial ablation, ovarian cyst removal, vaginal repair operations, dilatation and curettage, and laparoscopic surgery.
