Mr Prasad Kothari

Mr. Prasad Kothari is an Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon currently working at the private practices Spire Harpenden Hospital, Cobham Clinic, BMI Bishops Wood Hospital, and One Hatfield Hospital. His current post is Luton & Dunstable Trust. His areas of specialism are head and neck oncology and paediatric medicine. His areas of interest include neck lumps, diagnosis and treatment of Head & Neck Cancer, thyroid and salivary gland disorders, endoscopic sinus surgery, snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea treatment.

Mr. Kothari completed a Bachelor of Dentistry degree at the University of Bombay in 1986 and he attained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees at St. Bartholomew's and London Hospital in 1999. He completed his ENT training in London and specialist Head & Neck Cancer training in Holland and India. He has many affiliations and memberships including Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons and Member of ENT UK and British Association of Head & Neck Oncologist.

He works closely with colleagues from other specialties like speech and language therapy and dietitians to manage complex patients with swallow and voice issues.

Additionally, Mr. Kothari is interested in research regarding Head and Neck Oncology, regarding patient follow up protocol. He has over 25 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has also received the awards Glory of India award- 2011 and Clinical Excellence award for my NHS work at Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

He is the chair for the Head and Neck Cancer MDT for Beds & Hert's cancer network and was the clinical director for the ENT department at Luton & Dunstable Trust.

He is an examiner for the FRCS exam in ENT also lectures on a number of national training courses.

He is a family man and happily married with two children (and a dog) and enjoys playing badminton and listening to classical music in his spare time.
