About Mr Paul Rosen
Mr Paul Rosen is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon who sees private patients at Nuffield Health Oxford, The Manor Hospital and The New Foscote Hospital. He specialises in cataract surgery, glaucoma, retinal surgery and refractive surgery, with particular expertise in complex cataract procedures and the management of complications following cataract and laser refractive surgery.
After completing his medical degree at the University of Manchester, Mr Rosen undertook specialist ophthalmology training at the Prince Charles Eye Unit, St Thomas' Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital. He has been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Oxford Eye Hospital since 1993, where he established the retinal surgery service. Between his NHS and private practice, he performs more than 1,000 cataract and refractive surgical procedures each year. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Oxford, an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow and has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications.
Mr Rosen has served as President of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and President of the United Kingdom and Ireland Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He is also Medical Editor of EuroTimes, a publication of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

Mr Rosen operated on my eyes in July and the results have been absolutely wonderful. His advice and ability to allay the worries I had and deal with the fact I was quite anxious were most helpful to me. Post-operatively I had a concern and he saw me the same day which being anxious was very much appreciated. I could not recommend him more highly.
