Patrick Axon has worked as an ENT surgeon at Cambridge Universty Hospitals, The Spire CAmbridge Lea and Cambridge Nuffield for the past 20 years. He is clinical lead of both the East of England Hearing Implant Centre and East and Central England Neurofibromatosis (NF2) service. He is a core member of the East of England Skull Base service and middle ear pathology MDT.
He has an international practice managing pulsatile tinnitus and Eagle's syndrome. He receives tertiary referrals from the UK and Europe for the management of middle ear and skull base pathology.
Patrick is past president of the British Skull Base Society; past secretary of the Royal Society of Medicine section of Otology and past council member of the British Society of Otology. He currently chairs the National Vestibular Schwannoma Audit; vice chair of the National Vestibular Schwannoma Research Group as well as member of many National and European Otology Societies.
