About Mr Noaman Sarfraz

Mr. Noaman Sarfraz is a Consultant General and Breast Surgeon with nearly 16 years of experience at Warrington Hospital, where he has held several key roles, including Lead Cancer Clinician, Postgraduate Clinical Tutor, and Deputy Director/Acting Director of Medical Education. In December 2022, he was elected to the College Council of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, following his term as Deputy Director of Surgical Education for the College.

With extensive experience in general surgery, Mr. Sarfraz provides a specialised resectional oncoplastic breast surgery service, which includes image-guided surgery, sentinel lymph node biopsies for breast cancer staging, and primary breast reconstruction and symmetrisation surgeries. He also performs thyroid and parathyroid surgery.

Mr. Sarfraz trained as a general surgeon, focusing on breast, endocrine, gallbladder, and open hernia surgery, and achieved consultant status in his home country. He relocated to the UK in 2000 for further training, spending seven years in the Mersey region, where he gained proficiency in general, breast, and endocrine surgery, as well as laparoscopic cholecystectomies, with an impressive elective conversion to open rate of just 1% (national average is 5%).

A passionate educator, Mr. Sarfraz is a faculty member on major surgical courses for both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He continues to contribute to the training and development of the next generation of surgeons.

Mr Sarfraz was extremely thorough and established after a scan and ultra sound that I did not require a gallstone removal operation. It turned out I did not have a gallstone. I was misdiagnosed by the NHS hospital. I can only thank Mr Sarfraz for his care and attention in checking for himself what I had been diagnosed with. I fully recommend Mr Sarfraz.

I found Mr Sarfraz to be very polite and friendly with a good sense of humour. He fully explained everything that would happen during my operation to repair a large inguinal hernia. I was amazed on waking from the operation to find that I had absolutely no pain at all, after years of having to be careful about how I moved or even turned over in bed. I was fully mobile on the same day as the operation and was able to go out and socialise the very next day. It's five weeks now since my operation and I still haven't experienced any pain at all apart from a few nips from the stitches. It feels likely a whole new start for me and I'm extremely grateful for Mr Sarfraz's skill and kindness

Recent visit was for a consultation followed by an inguinal hernia operation. Very good initial meeting where everything was discussed and explained thoroughly. The operation was completed 2 weeks later which also went smoothly. Extremely satisfied with how it has all gone and recovered faster than I expected.
