Mr Nitin Vaingankar

Mr Nitin Vaingankar is an experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon based at Northampton General NHS Trust since July 2006. 

Mr Vaingankar works closely with his patients to ensure they receive the best possible results and care. His clinical interests are cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction, hand surgery, and skin cancer. He the current Chairman of the skin cancer MDT at Northampton General Hospital.

He has private practices at the following locations:

• Three Shires Hospital, Northampton - Wednesday afternoons
• The Manor Hospital, Bedford - alternate Monday evenings
• The Saxon Clinic, Milton Keynes - Friday afternoon/evenings
• Woodland Hospital, Kettering - alternate Monday evenings

Having completed his MBBS in 1986, Mr Vaingankar gained extensive experience in Plastic Surgery working in Bristol, Liverpool, Norwich, Stevenage and London. He was awarded the Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious McIndoe Surgical Centre in East Grinstead and the Hand Surgery Fellowship at the St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery in Chelmsford. He has also attained the FRCS Plast examination, UK, and was awarded the CCST (Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training) in Plastic Surgery.

He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and an Associate member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH).
