Mr Shahid is always welcoming and friendly. Yesterday he explained everything to me and told me what I need to do next even though he has discharged me.

My experience at the Cavell Hospital was great - I was seen as soon as I arrived (early) and Mr Shahid was on time too. Unfortunately my x-rays were not sent, so he had not seen them ahead of my visit. This means we could not put a plan in place as he had not seen the x-rays. It would have been better if this had been flagged prior to the appointment - we could have delayed until the x-rays had been sent. Mr Shahid was very thorough though and explained all options.

Mr Shahid was prepared to see me. However the appointment made for me on the previous day had not been entered onto the system as agreed, so when I arrived, there was no record of the appointment. Staff were supportive. Mr Shahid showed me my x-rays, showing the before and after situation of my big toe joints. He examined me and asked me to walk in his room so he could see the motion of my feet. He agreed to refer me on to a physio and podiatrist for insoles. This letter was received in a few days, however it did not refer me to any specific practitioners. Rather, I had to contact Bupa to arrange this myself.
