About Mr Mohammed Abdus-Samee

Mr Mohammed Abdus-Samee is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based in London, UK. Following completion of his medical degree where he graduated with Honours from Imperial College, London he undertook surgical training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, UK. His higher surgical training was completed on the South-East Thames Rotation before going onto complete fellowship training in Sports & Arthroscopic Surgery in Stoke on Trent. He later completed further fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery in Bristol (Avon Orthopaedic Centre).

He has a specialist interest in Shoulder and Upper Limb Surgery. Mr Abdus-Samee is highly skilled in open and keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery of the shoulder with a particular interest in reconstruction (rotator cuff repairs, SLAP repairs and gleno-humeral and acromioclavicular stabilisations) and the whole spectrum of shoulder decompressions/debridements (subacromial decompressions) and surgery to the ACJ (acromioclavicular joint). His results allow patients to return to full activity and sports and his patients achieve full elevation and movements with anatomic and reverse total shoulder replacements. He treats elite athletes, non-athletes, dedicated office workers, young and old with good results and is a favourite amongst staff who have upper limb problems and want someone reliable to go to. That reliability means a truly patient orientated approach with what is best for you - treating you as if he was treating himself meaning careful diagnosis and treatment which may be non-surgical or surgical depending on individual need.

My issue wasn't straight forward as an MRI showed nothing of significance. However, throughout the process and my visits the doctor and his assistant were exceptional. His advice was sound and the problem has seemingly been resolved thanks to his care.
