About Mr Michael Oko
Mr Michael Oko is a specialist in Otolaryngology (ENT) with particular expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders, including sleep apnoea. Mr Oko qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB BS) from the University of Nigeria in 1986. He later achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh as well as FRCS in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, reflecting his advanced surgical training and expertise.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Oko has contributed to academic medicine, having previously served as a Lecturer in ENT surgery at the University of Glasgow. He has also played a key role in service development, establishing the Snoring Disorders Centre in Boston and clinics in Spalding to improve access to specialised care for patients with sleep disorders.
Alongside his clinical and teaching roles, Mr Oko is involved in research focusing on sleep disorders, supporting ongoing advances in diagnosis and treatment in this field.
He has run virtual sleep clinics since COVID looking after 6,000 patients on cpap therapy with 96% patient satisfaction
