About Mr Mark Peter John Yardley
Mr Yardley is a consultant ENT surgeon based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital. With a private practice at Thornbury and Claremont hospitals Sheffield.
Mr Yardley graduated from Cardiff in 1984 and undertook surgical training in Cardiff, Nottingham, Birmingham and Sheffield / Doncaster training programmes. During this time he undertook research which culminated in a master of philosophy degree. Before taking up a full time consultant post in the NHS he undertook a skull base and Neuro otology fellowship in Toronto Canada, bettering his clinical knowledge with the highest quality mentorship.
Mr. Yardley is currently the senior consultant ENT surgeon at the Royal Hallamshire as well as the clinical governance lead. His main interest is in ear disease and he is a core member of the skull base multidisciplinary team, a tertiary referral centre for skull base disease which includes complex pathology in the bone housing the ear.
He sees patients with general ENT problems and has a sub-specialist interest in ear disease.
In his spare time he enjoys walking, cycling and film.

After having long term hearing issues following a consultation with Mr Yardley who examined my ears and he understood the problems. He explained the treatment required and what the issues with my ears and hearing was in a clear and understandable manner. He was happy to answer questions and was very personable. The consultation was informative and ultimately resulted in me gaining my hearing back and the end to repeated ear infections after months of suffering. One visit to Mr Yardley has improved my hearing immensely & subsequently, I would not hesitate to revisit if any further issues come around.
