My initial consultation with Mark Davies was on time with all the pros & cons clearly explained in easy to understand terms. There was plenty of time for me to ask questions which were answered in a reassuring and professional manner. On the day of the procedure the friendly staff kept me fully informed on the days events. I had brief consultations with Mark (surgeon) and Dr Duskover (anaesthetist) both excellent explaining exactly what was going to be done. After walking into the theatre and having a pleasant chat with Dr Duskover I woke up in the recover room with the procedure completed. When back in the ward I was visited by Mark who advised me that the procedure went well, which was very reassuring. I was given an appointment for a post-op consultation prior to being discharged. This was professional and reassuring. My post-op appointment, four weeks after my procedure, was again on time. Mark was very pleased with my recovery and advised me on how to manage the next few weeks and gradually get back normal. I am pleased with the result and didn't require pain relief after the first week. Nobody looks forward to having an operation but if did require another procedure, within his specialism, I would be very pleased to consult Mr Mark Davies.

I arrived at the hospital at 7.00am and was escorted to my ward immediately. The anaesthetist was with me before 7.30 am and my surgeon, Mr Mark Davies, saw me before 8am. I was the first on the list and was taken to theatre before 8.30am. All very smooth indeed. I remember being back into my room by 10am and for the next few hours I was closely by a small team of nurses. By 2pm I was allowed to go home nd since then my recovery has all been positive.

Dealing with Mark and Sancta Maria has been excellent from when I first arranged to see Mark in April this year. He helped me carefully plan and manage my hernia operation.
