Mr Lloyd Bender graduated from the University of Cape Town, then moved to London to complete his Ophthalmology training. Having worked at some of the leading paediatric and adult eye care centres globally, he has extensive clinical knowledge and experience. He has held consultant posts at numerous prestigious hospitals, including Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Also, he has advanced specialist training in Paediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus management.
Currently, he works as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Moorfields NHS Trust. Lloyd also engages in voluntary clinical and educational activities; once a year, he volunteers at a rural eye clinic in Honduras.
