About
Mr Kieran Power, Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgeon, is currently working within the Royal Marden Hospital NHS Trust, as well as privately seeing patients within The Harley Street Clinic. He is highly specialised in reconstructive breast surgery (following mastectomies), microsurgical reconstruction, perineal reconstruction, aesthetic surgery, and skin cancers. He has a keen interest in reconstruction following specific cancers like gynaecological, colorectal, and sarcomas.
Mr Power completed his specialist training partly within Ireland before moving over to England to begin a fellowship at Royal Marsden Hospital in microvascular surgery. Following this, he was awarded an additional fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons at the well-respected Melanoma Institute Australia. Following this, he then came back to the UK to be appointed a Consultant at the Royal Marsden in 2014.
Throughout his training he has taken an active role in research, earning himself the John Calder Medal by the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons for his contribution to the field of wound healing. His research has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications and is regularly invited to speak of his findings at conferences globally. Additionally, he was recently awarded a Master's in Aesthetic Surgery by Queen Mary's, University of London.

Calm and reassuring on surgery. Had full confidence. Only thing I would say is I would have liked a bit more firmer advice/recommendations.

Mr Power was so lovely and has a calming nature and professional manner. I felt very safe under his care and very happy with the results. I was very looked after and would 100% recommend him.

Mr Power is a very talented plastic surgeon, I feel very grateful to have been under his care for all of the surgery I have needed following Breast Cancer and a DIEP reconstruction. His work is outstanding, he has always been very clear and thorough in his explanation of the procedures and is very respectful during consultations and examinations.

It was very good and efficient

I was very anxious on arrival having a suspicious mole investigated. Mr Power put me at ease and explained my options. The removal of the mole was painless and with the help of the nurse was a swift and easy process.

Brilliant surgeon & technician which is what I really want. I think it is amongst the best surgery I have had. He was precise and explained what he was doing to a superior degree. Overall a very positive experience.
