Mr K Sehat

Mr K Sehat is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon based at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. His clinical practice focuses on hip and knee surgery, including joint replacement, trauma, and complex reconstructive procedures. He also sees patients privately at Spire Nottingham Hospital, where he has practised since 2019.

Mr Sehat graduated in medicine from the University of Bristol and completed specialist orthopaedic training in Nottingham and New Zealand. He was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2008. Alongside elective practice, he manages emergency and complex cases within the NHS and holds a senior role as a Clinical Governance Lead Consultant, with responsibility for quality assurance and patient safety.

His specialist interests include knee replacement surgery, where he performs computer-guided, individualised procedures to optimise implant alignment and fit. He has used computer-assisted techniques since 2013 and contributed to the development of the Orthopilot system. He is trained in specific knee and hip implant systems and undertakes bespoke joint replacement options in selected cases. His hip practice includes primary hip replacement and the surgical management of hip tendon disorders, bursitis, and related conditions.

Mr Sehat also established and chairs the Trent Regional Network for Metastatic Bone Cancer and performs complex surgery for patients with metastatic skeletal disease. He is a member of the international Pheno4U panel, which focuses on improving outcomes following knee replacement surgery.
