About Mr Ed Sideso

Mr. Ediri Sideso is a Consultant Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon affiliated with the John Radcliffe Hospital and the Thames Valley Vascular Network since 2012. He holds an honorary senior lecturer position at the University of Oxford and serves as an examiner at the Oxford University Medical School.

Mr. Sideso graduated from the University of London in 1999 and pursued advanced surgical training in Oxford, where he also conducted research focused on carotid disease. He has completed extensive international training, including Endovascular fellowships in Munster, Germany, and the Cleveland Clinic, USA, where he specialised in complex endovascular techniques.

Specialising exclusively in vascular and endovascular surgery, Mr. Sideso offers comprehensive treatment options for both arterial and venous diseases. His practice covers a wide range of endovenous treatments such as clarivein and sclerotherapy for varicose veins, alongside endovascular and open surgical interventions for arterial diseases.

Mr. Sideso is an active member of several professional organisations, including the Vascular Society of Great Britain and the British Society of Endovascular Therapists. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

With over a decade of experience, he has pioneered minimally invasive techniques for varicose vein management, emphasising patient comfort with a "walk-in walk-out" approach utilising state-of-the-art methodologies.

In addition to his clinical roles, Mr. Sideso contributes significantly to medical education as an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Nuffield Department of Surgery at the University of Oxford. He plays pivotal roles as the Chief Examiner for the University of Oxford Global Surgery Course and Internal Examiner for the University of Oxford Fourth Year medical exams.
