Mr David Gault

Mr David Gault's private practice is based in the London area. His specialties include ear aesthetics and reconstruction and correction of failed cosmetic surgery. He uses both laser and conventional surgical techniques, often in combination, to safely remove skin blemishes, birthmarks, tattoos, benign and malignant lesions in both children and adults.

David Gault qualified at Edinburgh University, trained in Plastic Surgery in London, and gained further experience in Paris, California and Japan. He was Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood, Middlesex and The Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London, England, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College, London. A Visiting Professor, he set up the UK's first ear reconstruction centres over twenty-five years ago.

He now works solely in private practice. A talented artist and sculptor, he is an international authority on skin lasers and ear reconstruction. He has a particular interest in the causes and correction of failed aesthetic surgery and acts as an expert witness in many of these cases. He developed a flush-out technique to minimise soft tissue injury during chemotherapy after extravasation. He developed EarBuddies, now in use in worldwide, to correct ear deformity in babies without surgery.
