About Mr Juling Ong
Juling Ong is a Craniofacial and Paediatric Plastic Surgeon at Great Ormond street Hospital for children in London. He trained in London and completed the specialty examinations in plastic surgery in 2012. Following this, he was awarded the Ellison-Cliffe Travelling Fellowship by the Royal Society of Medicine to undertake further subspecialist craniofacial and paediatric plastic surgery training in the United States. This 12-month American Council of Graduate Medical Education accredited fellowship culminated in the award of a Diploma from the University of Texas in Austin, in Craniofacial, Cleft and Paediatric Plastic Surgery.
In 2014 he was awarded a Fellowship in Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery by the National Training Interface Group of the United Kingdom and then undertook a further Adult and Paediatric Craniofacial Fellowship in Chelsea in London prior to starting Independent practice.
Juling is focused on the development of clinical services and high quality care through collaboration, expertise and innovation and was recently awarded an Innovations grant to develop the first 3D facility service at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He currently leads this service as well as being an active clinician in a number of multi-specialty clinics for children with complex reconstructive needs.
He is dedicated to the improvement of global health and regularly participates in humanitarian missions around the world.

We had a great experience with Dr Ong who recently operated on my 3yr old daughter to remove a facial skin tag. He is very skilled and provided us with reassurance and guidance throughout the process. My daughter felt comfortable in his care and the results so far are great. I would recommend him highly.

Excellent consultant, explained the procedure very well.
Dr Ong has undertaken 3 staged excisions of my daughter’s haemangioma birthmark and is doing so has realigned her cheek. The result so far is incredible and my daughter has a flat symmetrical cheek with the original scarring almost entirely gone too. Dr Ong has taken incredible care throughout whilst also being compassionate and patient which resulted in him gaining my daughter’s trust. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for my her.
Thank you very much. It is such a privilege to be able to support my patients through what can be a very difficult time both physically and emotionally. The final goal from the treatment plan is to reduce the appearance and impact of the birthmark, as well as its treatment on a child during the really crucial early years of growth and development.
Very lovely, kind man, very personal experience, took extra time to phone and see me before my daughters operation to explain everything very clearly. Made the whole experience a lot less stressful.

Thank you very much. Tongue reductions in the right patients, have the ability to really make a massive difference to quality of life. Drooling is reduced, speech development is supported and eating becomes easier in the vast majority of patients.

An outstanding surgeon and individual! Mr Ong was very helpful from our first consultation- he took the time to examine carefully our 3y old son's dermoid cyst and answered all our questions. He discussed with us in detail all options available, and steps of the procedure. On the day of the operation he kept us fully informed- we were also introduced to his team and the anaesthesiologist. Once our son was out of the recovery room, Mr Ong came directly to visit us and provided more information about how the procedure went. He is definitely a very caring person and put our son at ease. He gave us plenty of time to ask questions about the aftercare etc. Our son was back on his feet a couple of hours later- his scar is unnoticeable! Both my husband and myself are enormously grateful to Mr Ong and would definitely recommend him to anyone- big or little one!
