Mr David Duffy

From the moment I met Mr. Duffy, I knew I was in the right place. He immediately understood me - not just as a patient, but as a runner - and how important running is to my identity and well-being. Running is a huge part of my life, so finding a surgeon who truly understood was essential. Mr Duffy’s patient-first approach stood out. Despite being a surgeon, he didn’t rush to recommend surgery. Instead, we agreed to explore non-surgical options first, which really reflected his integrity, empathy, and commitment to doing what’s best for the person in front of him. When I later chose to go ahead with an arthroscopy. Mr. Duffy saw me both before and after the procedure on the day, which was incredibly steadying. The initial day-to-day recovery was remarkably quick, and although the longer-term recovery has required more patience and strength, I was back to some level of running just four weeks later. I’m incredibly grateful for Mr. Duffy’s care, understanding, and the trust he inspired from day one. He and his team (special thanks also to Lauren, whose support helped me feel confident about the decision to proceed with surgery) have made a real difference in my journey back to running for good.

Mr Duffy is so reassuring and knowledgeable. He instantly knew what was wrong and informative about what I am and am not able to do begore my surgery. He also operated on my son 3 years ago and filled me with confidence from the very first consultation. Excellent surgeon and the operation went well. My new UKR is great and I already have nearly full range of flexion (120 deg+). Went back to golf after 4 weeks and am pain free. Extremely pleased.

I can highly recommend Mr Duffy. I had a half knee replacement in 2023, that then required a knee arthroscopy just over 12 months later. Mr Duffy is friendly, approachable and explains everything in detail. I have already recommended him to other people.

Mr Duffy is very knowledgeable in his field. He is Compassionate in his manner and clear when explaining to me the need for surgery. This included showing me and discussing X-Rays and MRI scans. This allowed me to make an informed decision on how to proceed. Mr Duffy gave reassurances pre and post op that enabled me to progress through the physiotherapy programme with confidence and therefore I have achieved the best results possible from my total knee replacement surgery.

I would highly recommend Mr David Duffy for his amazing skill, professional manner and friendly demeanor. I had a partial knee replacement and the procedure was well explained. The operation went very smoothly and after an overnight stay I was back home walking by myself with the aid of sticks. Mr Duffy expalind how important it was to do the exercises prescibed by the physiotherapist, and how right he was. Now 8 weeks post operation. the scar has healed well, I am walking normally without a limp and no pain. Thank you Mr Duffy.

I have had one full knee replacement carried out by Mr Duffy and am currently waiting for the second. The first was a complete success and the whole process was excellent. I have now consulted with Mr Duffy to replace my left knee, he takes into account the whole picture and your quality of life when making decisions. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.
