I recently underwent surgery to reconstruct my anterior cruciate ligament following a sporting injury. Mr Duffy was recommended to me by my physiotherapist. I couldn't have been more happy with the service I received. Mr Duffy has a very friendly and approachable manner. He was very engaging and explained all of my options without any bias. Based on the information provided, I was able to make an informed decision as to the best course of treatment. The reconstruction went ahead without any complications. I have been amazed at the speed of my recovery. The aesthetics of the repair are fantastic and although it is only a few weeks since the procedure, it is already difficult to see the sites of the incisions, given their small size and the neatness of closure. I have not required any pain relief following the operation. This I feel is due to the combination of a meticulous attention to detail and careful soft tissue handling. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Duffy to anyone considering an ACL reconstruction.

Mr Duffy is everything you would want in a consultant. He is professional, extremely skilled and knowledgeable but is also such an approachable nice man with good humour and a positive outlook. He listens, responds and actually takes notice of what you say and remembers it which is refreshing and reassuring. He is very clear in his explanations too. I had a left knee arthroscopy and meniscal repair by Mr Duffy two years ago and I was delighted with the results. I have recently seen him again with right knee problems and am confident he will get me better. Highly recommended.

Mr Duffy explains everything to you clearly he puts you at ease from the moment you meet him, listens to everything you are trying to explain to him about the symptoms you are feeling through pain in my knee joints, not making me feel stupid or over reacting about the discomfort I was experiencing. I also liked the fact that Mr Duffy comes to see you after surgery to update you on how your operation has gone which I found very reassuring, I have had three knee operations with Mr Duffy and would highly recommend him to anyone requiring Knee surgery.
