Mr Mockford was appointed as a Consultant in 2007, and has since established a interest in disorders affecting the adolescent and adult hip and knee both traumatic and degenerative in nature. He is an active member of both the British Orthopaedic Association and British Hip Society and works as the Training Programme Director for the Northern Ireland Orthopaedic training scheme. He is also an intercollegiate FRCS(Trauma & Orthopeadics) examiner.
