Mr Brian Bisase

Mr Brian Bisase is a specialist consultant Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, practising at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital. His specialist clinical interests include maxillofacial trauma surgery, salivary gland disease, routine oral surgery, and head and neck cancer surgery. Mr Bisase graduated in dentistry and medicine from the University of London. Following surgical training, Mr Bisase underwent five years of advanced surgical training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Royal Surrey County Hospitals in Guildford, in QVH, and at Guys and King's College Hospitals in London. Mr Bisase was awarded the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Gold medal on the strength of his performance in the maxillofacial surgery FRCS examination. He completed further specialist surgical training in Toronto in Canada, as well as completing a fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital. During this time he developed particular experience in thyroid, sarcoma and anterior skull base surgery. Aside from his clinical commitments, Mr Bisase is committed to working on academic surgical research and is Lead of H & N research at Queen Victoria Hospital. He has presented his academic clinical research at conferences around the world, and published much of this research in academic journals. Currently, he acts as Principal Investigator for two large multi-centre surgical trials. He has a particular interest in the audit of surgical outcomes. He is a keen teacher and professional trainer as part of his NHS work.
