Mr Barnaby Chappell

Mr Barnaby Chappell is a Consultant Urologist trained in all aspects of open and endoscopic urology. He has a particular interest in laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, particularly for the management of prostate, renal and bladder cancer. His clinical interests also include core urology, erectile dysfunction, laser prostate and stone surgery, and benign prostatic hyperplasia.

Mr Chappell qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1997. He completed his higher surgical training in 2009, with his senior years including experience in complex renal and robotic surgery. During his training, he also undertook international fellowships in America and Belgium. He was awarded FRCS (Urol) in 2008.

His research interests include innovative surgical techniques and imaging modalities aimed at improving the staging and treatment of urological cancers, including template biopsies of the prostate and multiparametric MRI. He is also a GMC-recognised trainer.

Mr Chappell is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. His professional memberships include the British Association of Urological Surgeons, European Association of Urology, Royal Society of Medicine and Urology Travelling Surgeons.
