Mr Adrian Burman

Mr Adrian Burman is a diagnostic medical sonographer with 20 years of imaging experience, including 16 years specialising in ultrasound. He practises at Arden Forest Ultrasound Clinic and is also part of the team at MUMS Midlands Ultrasound & Medical Services. Mr Burman specialises in diagnostic ultrasound imaging across routine and specialist areas of medical ultrasound, with particular expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSKUS).

Mr Burman began his professional career in the fitness industry after completing a BSc (Hons) in Sport and Exercise Science at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2003. He worked for the Marriott hotel chain, where he developed and managed fitness programmes for staff and residents. He later completed his training in diagnostic radiography and worked at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham before specialising in diagnostic ultrasound.

Following his radiography training, Mr Burman developed specialist expertise in musculoskeletal ultrasound and advanced diagnostic imaging. His clinical work includes abdominal, pelvic, vascular, soft tissue and musculoskeletal ultrasound examinations, alongside ultrasound guided procedures and specialist diagnostic assessments.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Burman established his own private ultrasound company providing diagnostic ultrasound services to GPs, hospitals and community clinics. He also works part time as a Clinical Application Specialist for point of care ultrasound with medical device companies including Sonosite/FUJIFILM and MINDRAY UK. Alongside this work, he provides consultancy services and educational webinars for ultrasound companies and healthcare professionals.

His background in sports and exercise science, combined with extensive imaging experience, informs his approach to patient assessment and diagnostic care.
