Dr Moira Cheung

Dr Moira Cheung is a dedicated Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist and Paediatrician who provides expert care for children with complex endocrine and skeletal conditions. With a compassionate and reassuring approach to patient care, Dr Cheung works closely with young patients and their families to diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of developmental, hormonal, and bone disorders.

In her clinical practice, Dr Cheung maintains a primary focus on rare metabolic bone diseases and skeletal conditions in infants, children, and young people. Her areas of expertise encompass osteogenesis imperfecta, skeletal dysplasia such as achondroplasia and hypochondroplasia, calcium and phosphate disorders, bone mass disorders, and X-linked hypophosphataemic rickets. She is committed to delivering individualised treatment plans tailored to each child's needs, combining clinical therapies with holistic ongoing support.

Dr Cheung completed her undergraduate medical degree, earning her MBBS, before undertaking specialist higher training in Paediatric Endocrinology. She further advanced her expertise by obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) and a PhD examining hormone actions on the skeleton. Her post-doctoral development also included a dedicated clinical fellowship in rare paediatric bone diseases. Dr Cheung is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and holds professional memberships with the Skeletal Dysplasia Group, the International Congress of Children's Bone Health Bone School, and the Skeletal Dysplasia Management Consortium.
