My experience was excellent not only the operation itself but the before and after care where everything was explained clearly step-by-step. For a slightly nervous person, not used to operations, the experience could not have been better.

It was a worrying step for me to take having been quite happy with my varifocul lenses. Both operations were painless and I had faith in Dr Shaikh, I would have appreciated a bit more feedback on what to expect following surgery as I had thought that my sight would have recovered sooner,. My follow-up put my mind at rest so the second op was easier in fact my eye recovered more quickly although more swollen and bloodshot. I was pleased to get a follow up call from the nurse at the Shelburne who reassured me that the symptoms I described to her were quite normal. I am looking forward to my appointment with Mila in a months time and the correct prescription for reading glasses. I will have no hesitation in recommending Miss Shaikh. Regards Margaret B.

I had sequential bi-lateral cataract surgery, and everything went smoothly. Miss Shaikh’s calm and professional demeanour was very reassuring and furthermore, and most importantly, I now have wonderful vision.

I have worked with Asifa for nearly 10 years now as a close consultant colleague in Buckinghamshire. She is an incredibly hard working and dedicated Ophthalmologist. She is a very talented consultant cataract and ophthalmic surgeon, specialising principally in glaucoma. Since I’ve known her she has always been at the vanguard of emerging of glaucoma care, always looking to new techniques and technologies to complement her practice and improve her patient’s care. I would very be happy for her to operate on my friends and family and only too happy to recommend her to patients.
