Dr. Misha Verkerk

Dr. Misha Verkerk is a highly skilled Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon who provides comprehensive care for both adult and paediatric patients across a broad spectrum of ear, nose, and throat conditions. With specialist expertise in otology, hearing implants, and skull base surgery, Dr. Verkerk is dedicated to delivering personalised, evidence-based care tailored to each individual patient's health needs. He takes a reassuring and thorough approach to consultations, ensuring clear communication, patient education, and collaborative decision-making at every stage of care.

Dr. Verkerk completed his initial medical education with a double First class degree from Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, followed by a Distinction from University College London. He subsequently ranked first nationally in competitive selection for higher surgical training in Otolaryngology in London. In 2021, he was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal for achieving the highest score in the country for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons examination (FRCS ORL-HNS). He further refined his advanced surgical skills through a fellowship in Sydney, Australia, specialising in endoscopic, minimally invasive ear surgery. Dr. Verkerk is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and an active member of ENT UK.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Verkerk offers expert diagnostic assessment and surgical management for disorders affecting hearing, balance, and the ear, alongside general Ear, Nose and Throat procedures. His specialist interventions include minimally invasive endoscopic ear surgery, tympanoplasty, mastoidectomy, stapedectomy, and Eustachian tube balloon tuboplasty, as well as routine paediatric interventions such as coblation tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and grommet insertion. Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Verkerk serves as a director for global surgical outreach initiatives, leading training and educational programmes to improve ear health care in underserved regions internationally.
