Dr Miriam Langdon’s clinical and scientific journey began in Canada with an undergraduate degree in Genetics, followed by a medical degree and postgraduate research in physiology in Ireland. She subsequently specialised in anaesthesia, gaining a Certificate of Specialist Training in Ireland and a Fellowship of the College of Anaesthesia at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.
Prior to joining Practice Plus Group, Dr Langdon spent thirteen years as a senior consultant anaesthesiologist at the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Ireland, specialising in anaesthesia and pain management for complex tumour surgery in young adults.
Her clinical interests include perioperative medicine with a focus on the older patient, early recovery after surgery, and advanced postoperative pain control. Dr Langdon’s expertise covers advanced regional anaesthesia and analgesia, primary arthroplasty, sports surgery, ENT, dental, gynaecological and general surgery, as well as difficult airway management.
