Dr. Miles Walkden

Dr Miles Walkden is a Consultant Radiologist specialising in Uroradiology and Interventional Oncology. He leads the renal ablation service at UCH and the Royal Free. Dr Walkden a dedicated uroradiologist with specific interests in renal ablation, prostate artery embolisation and andrological imaging including varicocele embolisation. He runs interventional radiology clinics allowing patients to be seen both before and after treatment thereby ensuring patients are always fully informed about procedures and their outcomes.

Dr Walkden qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' London in 1997, initially training as a surgeon and gaining membership of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2002. He then went on to become a fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2007 training in Interventional radiology at St Georges and UCH. He is actively involved in research and has published numerous articles in medical journals including Clinical Radiology and the British Medical Journal. His current research interests are renal cryoablation, image-guided biopsy, prostate artery embolisation, and andrological imaging.

In his spare time, Miles enjoys farming trying to improve his sheep-shearing skills and embarrassing his four children.
