Mr Maurice Hawthorne

Mr Maurice Hawthorne is a dedicated Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon specialising in Otolaryngology. Committed to delivering reassuring and high-quality clinical care, he provides comprehensive assessment and management for patients experiencing a wide array of conditions affecting the ears, nose, throat, head, and neck. Mr Hawthorne approaches each consultation with an objective, patient-focused approach, helping individuals understand their diagnoses and treatment pathways clearly.

In his clinical practice, Mr Hawthorne maintains specialist interests in complex otology and skull base procedures. His expertise encompasses the medical and surgical management of deafness, facial nerve balance disorders, and the therapeutic use of botulinum toxin. In addition, he provides care across general adult and paediatric Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery, performing a wide scope of interventions including sinus clearance, nasal polyp removal, ear drum repair, myringoplasty, grommet insertion, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and parotid gland surgery.

Mr Hawthorne completed his undergraduate medical degree at Manchester Medical School, qualifying in 1977. He gained extensive postgraduate experience through higher surgical training as a Senior Registrar in Bath and Bristol between 1984 and 1988. To further enhance his specialist surgical skills, he completed a prestigious international clinical Fellowship at the University of Zurich from 1985 to 1986.
