Mr Matthew Laugharne

Dr Matthew Laugharne is a highly experienced Clinical Radiologist, practicing at Sulis Hospital Bath. He provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging services, with a particular focus on paediatric and abdominal radiology.

Dr Laugharne graduated in medicine with an MB ChB from the University of Bristol in 2001, having also completed an intercalated BSc in Molecular and Cellular Pathology. He holds both the MRCS and FRCR qualifications, reflecting his strong foundation in surgical principles and advanced radiological practice. He completed his radiology training at the Severn School of Radiology, gaining extensive experience across general and specialist imaging.

He went on to obtain specialist training in paediatric radiology at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, alongside advanced training in abdominal imaging at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and North Bristol NHS Trust.

In addition, Dr Laugharne has particular expertise in gastrointestinal imaging, with a strong emphasis on MRI and liver imaging. His practice also includes interventional radiological procedures and oncology cross-sectional imaging, contributing to multidisciplinary patient care across a variety of clinical settings.
