Matthew Drake

Matthew Drake is a dedicated physiotherapist currently practising at True Physio in Stafford and Nantwich. He holds a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy with a focus on Sports and Exercise Medicine from the University of Bradford, completed in 2025. This training has provided him with a strong foundation in both clinical rehabilitation and the principles of sport and performance.

Alongside his academic studies, Matthew gained valuable experience working within football environments, supporting players through injury management, rehabilitation, and injury prevention strategies. This exposure has strengthened his ability to manage both acute and long-term musculoskeletal conditions, while tailoring care to the physical demands of sport.

Matthew also has broad experience working within the NHS, having treated patients across musculoskeletal, rheumatology, neurological, respiratory, and paediatric departments. He has worked in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, giving him a well-rounded understanding of physiotherapy across diverse clinical pathways and patient populations.

With a strong interest in sport and healthy lifestyles, Matthew is passionate about helping people not only recover from injury but also improve their overall wellbeing and long-term physical health. He offers services including massage and taping, integrating these with evidence-based rehabilitation programmes to support recovery, performance, and sustainable movement.
